Summary

Behind every good macro is the programming language known as visual basic for applications, or VBA. It's the snippets of code that allow Excel users to store dozens, and sometimes hundreds, of repetitive keystrokes so performing labor-intensive Excel tasks are reduced to a few quick and easy keystrokes and mouse clicks.

Understanding VBA basics allows Excel users to build effective macros and shave hours off of budgeting, forecasting and other corporate finance functions that provide support to all company tactics and strategies. From running calculations to allowing users to interact with data worksheets, this intermediate-level hour-long Webcast on macros, taught by CFO contributor and Microsoft MVP Bill "MrExcel" Jelen, is focused on helping any member of the corporate finance team report the numbers -- and insightful data -- quickly and easily.

This Webcast no longer offers the opportunity to earn continuing professional education (CPE) credit. We invite you to stay tuned to CFO.com for future Webcasts that will offer attendees opportunities to earn CPE credit.
