David Katz, Deputy Editor of CFO.com, was recently honored with the prestigious Excellence in Financial Journalism Award from the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants. His article, Troubled Times at the AICPA, was honored in the Electronic Media/Business and Financial category.
The Excellence in Financial Journalism Award distinguishes journalists who play a part in improving the understanding of business topics, both for the public and financial communities. The winners are decided by a panel of CPAs who are members of the Society, and journalists from the New York Financial Writers Association. Entries are judged on accuracy and thoroughness, as well as the ability to convey an understanding of the topic in an impartial manner.
Winners will receive their awards at a ceremony on Friday, May 7, 2004.
“We are pleased to be recognized by the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants as a leader in reporting financial matters,” said Dave Cook, Editor of CFO.com. “This award recognizes our mission to deliver comprehensive, trusted financial news.”
